He joins fellow Victorian Jack Harrison and New South Welshman Adam Cornell, both playing in Woodlands, on top of the standings when the marathon week begins.
This afternoon, the women's field starts in both courses with 305 players across both fields – including dozens of international visitors – who compete for the awards awarded on Sunday in Woodlands after the finals of the match duel.
The top 64 men and 32 women will continue to the knockout phase that starts on Thursday.
The Australian Amateur Championship of 2019 is supported by the Significant Sporting Events program of the Victorian state government
