The Canadian Nick Taylor captured his second PGA Tour title with a four-shot win over the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

The 31-year-old world number 229 started round four one for Phil Mickelson and ended with a total of 19.

He ran from a bunker to the sixth eagle and conquered a double bogey on the 14th to shoot a two-under 70.

Mickelson, looking for Walter Hagen's 45 PGA victories, birdied three of the first six holes but faded to a 74 and finished five shots back in third place.

Taylor & # 39; s only previous PGA Tour victory came in 2014 at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

After four shots made just as many holes in the back nine, he birdied two of the following three, with a beautiful tee-shot to four feet on the 179-yard 17th.

"To do it that way, playing with Phil, gives me great confidence in the future," said Taylor, who led the tournament on all four days.

Taylor deserves a place in the April Masters in Augusta.
