One of my goals with product reviews on this site is to inform you about smaller, independent companies that make superior products. Recently I ran into a company called Rhoback, which produces performance waves from Virginia. Initially they noticed their designs and when I read more about their shirts, I had to try one on the golf course.

Generally I am not impressed by the quality of golf shirts that are available from regular companies. The materials are not full, are not quite comfortable and the styles can be a bit boring. Many are also expensive.

After I've worn the Rhoback performance polo on the golf course several times, I'd like to give everyone who wants a bit more of the traditional polo shirt a look.

Born From a Active Lifestyle

Rhoback gets his name (and logo) from the Rhodesian Ridgeback, an African hunting dog that is constantly on the move.

The founders of the company wanted to make a shirt that could support multiple activities: tennis, paddleboarding, golfing or just hanging around. Moreover, it had to look stylish.

Their polo & # 39; s are made to withstand the heat and the sun. The moisture-wicking performance fabric is soft, has sufficient stretch, built-in sun protection (UPF 40-50 +) and an "anti-bacon collar" that retains its shape.

My impressions of the Polo

I immediately cut through to the chase – I wore the Fairway Boy polo from Rhoback for several rounds and it is easily one of my favorite shirts that I have worn.

First, I love the style. Typically, I'm not in the striped look, but I love how Rhoback shirts look like. It evokes more of a preppy look that I do not always go for, but I think it works, even if it is not your chosen style.

I would also say that the shirt meets the performance-oriented hype. I wore it on several humid Long Island days (everyone here knows how uncomfortable they can be). The shirt is light, very & # 39; elastic & # 39; and is good on days when you start to sweat a bit more. If you're looking for a shirt that will not hamper your swing and get a hot and sticky day, you'll be satisfied with Rhoback.

This shirt can really stretch!

Finally, the collar has its shape very well. Many of my golf shirts have lost their shape after several washes, but they keep a fresh look.

As you can see, I love this shirt! It was nice to see that it could withstand the claims on their website. At $ 79, their polo & # 39; s fall into the premium category. I think you get a lot of value compared to shirts that are sold at professional stores with comparable price levels.

If you are looking for a great polo shirt that you can wear on and off the track, I advise you to take a look at their offer.
