September 23, 2020

There are numerous golf courses to choose from in and around the Atlanta metro area, but none can compare to the sublime setting at Cobblestone Golf Course.

Do you like living by the lake? Zip up I-75 about 30 minutes north of Atlanta and you will arrive at one of the most beautiful public courses in Georgia. The Cobblestone Golf Course has 18 holes, 8 of which are adjacent to the scenic and tranquil Lake Acworth.

Cobblestone Golf Course is owned by Cobb County and managed by Bobby Jones Links. It has a reputation as one of Georgia's best municipal golf experiences since it opened in 1993 and was later completely renovated in 2013. Designed by Ken Dye, the course features four sets of tees from 5,400m in the front to a 6,759m championship box and is previous venue for the PGA Tour qualifier.

However, you don't have to be a professional golfer to participate in Cobblestone Golf Course. The Men’s Golf Association consists of 120 members and organizes monthly tournaments and always welcomes new golfers.

The 4th hole at Cobblestone is an early eye-catcher: a dogleg to the right of 313 meters that hugs the lake from tee to green. The 16th, meanwhile, is one of three par 3 & # 39; s bordering the lake.

"Oh my … today's course was the best I've ever seen," wrote Golf Advisor reviewer "KyleSalone" in their September 2020 review. "Green and lush, very well groomed and the greens? Unbelievable.

Cobblestone also has a full practice facility and teaching academy, as well as ample space for trips and events. You don't have to travel far from Atlanta to find a peaceful and affordable golf vacation.
