A golfer who has become blind at the age of 25 has organized a charity golf day for good-sighted players so that they can experience a vision impairment using special glasses.

Nick Burr, 30, from St. Neots, Cambridgeshire was determined not to let blindness hinder him and he continues to play with a guide.

This year's fundraising event at the Meridian Golf Club near Cambridge raised more than £ 5,000.

M. Burr said playing when blind was "difficult because you are trying to play as you could if you could see".
