Can you name the oldest golf course in Australia?

Do you know where you can find the oldest golf course in Australia?
Coastal WA? The Melbourne Sandbelt? Maybe North Queensland?
Australia has a proud history of golf – and hopefully an even better future – and the game in our country comes from the heart of Tasmania and the golf course at Ratho Farm.
Founded by the Reid family in 1822, historians have found reports of residents of the city who were playing golf in the area not long afterwards.
Greg Ramsay grew up at Ratho Farm with his grandmother, parents, and four siblings, and undertook to renovate the home and restore the oldest golf course in Australia.
The nearby town of Bothwell is also home to the Australasian Golf Museum, which offers a fascinating look at the history of the game in Australia and Tasmania.
Ratho Farm proudly bears the name of Australia's oldest golf course and has become a must-see destination for any golf trip around Tasmania.
