Korean golfer Bio Kim receives three-year ban on middle finger gesture

Bio Kim played at the US Open in 2013
Bio Kim has been banned from the Korean Tour for three years after making an obscene gesture to a spectator.
The 29-year-old Korean won the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Open in his home country, but was disciplined after pointing his middle finger at the crowd after being distracted during the turn.
He was also fined £ 6,750 by the Korean Professional Golfers & # 39; Association.
It was said that he "violated the dignity of a golfer with an etiquette violation and inappropriate behavior."
Kim, who made money from the Korea Tour, responded to the 16th tee of his final lap when a smartphone sounded during his swing, and his ride went only 100 meters.
He apologized afterwards, but the video clip became viral and was instructed to attend a hearing in Seoul.
It is not certain whether the golfer – who argued for leniency and even knelt from TV cameras – will be allowed to play other tours around the world.
The PGA Tour said he would not be eligible pending his own assessment to determine whether he would limit his access to the tournaments.
