VIEW: The Australian is preparing for his 21st Open
The Australian Golf Club plays host for the 21st time in the battle for the Stonehaven Cup in 2019 and the club has made a number of huge upgrades in preparation.
CEO Steven Shearer sat down with GA TV in the run-up to Australia's most prestigious golf tournament to give an update on the changes the Australian has undergone in recent months.
This year's Open will be one of the largest in recent history, with a star-studded line-up heading for Sydney next month.
Australia's leading quartet of Adam Scott, Marc Leishman, Jason Day and Cameron Smith will be accompanied by Presidents Cup teammates CT Pan, Louis Oosthuizen and defending champion Abraham Ancer.
Vice captains Geoff Ogilvy, KJ Choi and Mike Weir beat it up with skipper Ernie Els, with PGA Tour superstars Sergio Garcia and Paul Casey for even more star power in the field.
