Joaquin Niemann became the youngest international winner on the PGA Tour since 1923 with a six-fold victory in the A soldier tribute to the Greenbrier.
The 20-year-old played a final round 64 to win his first victory on his 44th start at 21 under par.
Niemann, who is the amateur world number one from May 2017 to April 2018, is also the first player from Chile to win on the PGA Tour.
"I have thought this all my life," he said afterwards.
Niemann started the day ahead with two shots but never looked like he had given up his advantage while winning at a younger age in America than the late Seve Ballesteros or Rory McIlroy.
The tournament was the first of the 2019-2020 season on the PGA Tour and Niemann deserves a three-year exemption and a place at The Masters on Augusta next April.
