American John Catlin won his first European Tour event in the Andalucia Masters when Martin Kaymer missed the opportunity to end his six-year title drought.
Kaymer missed close-range birdie opportunities on 16th and 17th at Valderrama, then went on 18th.

His playing partner Catlin didn't make a single birdie in the final round, but won a one-time victory on Sunday.
"The nerves went through" said Catlin.
"This is a very difficult course, the greens were firm and fast and the wind was no easier than the previous three days.
“I don't think it's completely lost that I finally won, but that was my goal at the beginning of 2019 – to win on the Europe n Tour – to have achieved that is quite difficult to put into words. "
