Andy Sullivan of England claimed his first victory in the European Tour since 2015 with victory in the English Championship.

The 2016 Ryder Cup player led by five shots on the final round, but saw his lead cut to three on the turn of Adrian Otaegui from Spain

But Sullivan, 34, then took four birdies on the back nine to finish 27 under overall, seven shots away from Otaegui, at Hanbury Manor in Ware.

Rasmus Hoejgaard from Denmark finished third on 19.

It is Sullivan's first European Tour victory since 2015, the year of all three of his previous successes, with his previous victory in the Portugal Masters that year.

His for m in 2015 saw him finish in the top 10 of Europe and make a debut in the 2016 Ryder Cup, which the United States won in Hazeltine.
