Michele Thomson stayed together fifth after round two of the Women's New South Wales Open as defending champion Meghan MacLaren reached a third place at six under par.
MacLaren & # 39; s five-under-66 left her level with Swedish Lynn Carlsson.
Scot Thomson is at five under, along with his favorite home Rebecca Artis, Munchin Keh from New Zealand and the Austrian Christine Wolf.
Gabriella Cowley and Carly Booth are respectively two and one under.
"Everything just stood out and I felt at ease," MacLaren said.
"I had two bad tee-shots, which cost me bogeys and for bogey 16 (a par-five) it feels like I've given a shot and a half back, but I did it on the last day made up for it, I really felt in control today.
"Every time you are in a contention to enter the weekend in a tournament you are in a good place and this feels more special because of the last year. It is a good place to be. "
