Race to Dubai: Francesco Molinari wins as Tommy Fleetwood misses
Francesco Molinari from Italy won the race to Dubai after defending champion Tommy Fleetwood had not won the DP World Tour Championship season.
The Englishman Fleetwood had to win the event to overhaul Molinari, but a closing 68 about him on 10 under par.
Molinari, who this year won his first big with victory in The Open, was confirmed as European number one during the last round.
With nine holes to play in Dubai, Danny Willett leads on 17 under par.
