Round 2 WRAP – GNJM – Golf News and Tips

Players were greeted to perfect conditions for Round 2 of the 2018 Greg Norman Junior Masters on Palmer Gold Coast today.

A new leader came from the 17 year & under Boys division with Joshuaa Robards (Newcastle GC) with a 67 for a total of 141 with 36 holes. Cooper Clarke (Noosa GC) and Jordan Rooke (Wantima GC) also finish the day with a combined score of 141 each.

The girls saw Cassie Porter (Peregian Springs GC) retain her lead with a score of 71 for a combined score of 139 while Hannah Reeves (Hills International GC) finished second with 75 for a combined score of 148.

15 years & younger Ladies division saw Jeneath Wong (Metropolitan GC) finish with 73 for a combined score of 142. Suenghui (Kerri) Bong (Hills International GC) follows close behind with a score of 68 for a combined total finish of 143 after 36 holes.

The boys finished with Ben Duncombe (jnr) (Coral Cove International GC) with a score of 72 for a combination of 141 while Blaike Perkins & # 39; (Bargara GC) scored 71 (combined 143) and lost to the second place.

The Boys 13 years & under division ended the day with Justin Hammett (Emerald Lakes GC) and maintained his lead with a score of 73 (combined 139) while Daniel Cho (Pacific GC) set it up with 66 (combined score of 145).

Meanwhile, the Girls Claire Shin Division (Concord GC) saw a score of 75 for a combined score of 151. Mary Golder (Dalby GC) finished the day with 75 and a combined total of 154.

Players start on Palmer Gold Coast again on Wednesday with the 54-hole cut after the third round. Each of the six divisions is reduced by 60%, so the leading 40% players plus bands in each division will participate in the last 18 holes. Also the leading 2 Nett-scores in each division will, if they are not yet qualified, play in the last 18 holes.

The Greg Norman Junior Masters is an Australian Boys & # 39; and Girls & # 39; Ranking Event. It is for players aged 17 and younger, and is played via 72-hole stroke play. This is a invite-only event and is conducted by Junior Golf Queensland.
