European Open: Robert MacIntyre and Bernd Ritthammer lead

Schotter Robert MacIntyre was added to the top of the scoreboard by Bernd Ritthammer after the third round at the Porsche European Open in Hamburg.

MacIntyre, 23, carded as a 74 while Ritthammer, 32, shot a 70, with the pair taking one shot at zero under par.

The German seemed to be ready for a two-shot lead at night on homeland with birdies on the 11th and 12th holes, only to bogey every 14th and 15th.

"It didn't go well today," said MacIntyre, who shot two bogeys.

"I fought well until the end. It doesn't matter where I stand on the leaderboard, at the bottom or at the top, every point counts."

"It's just about conviction. I'm going there tomorrow to play my best golf. "

Paul Casey from England is a further shot behind the leaders at eight under par for the tournament.

Casey, who led after the first round in Hamburg, ma the five birdies and at one point joined MacIntyre, but finished 69 after two bogeys.

Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal and Matthias Schwab from Austria are one shot back in joint fourth.
