Jamie Donaldson won the Welsh Amateur Championship in 1997

Jamie Donaldson in Wales has undergone surgery on his left wrist and expects to take action again in February.

Donaldson, who in 2014 barred the winning putt for Europe's Ryder Cup, missed the last two tournaments of the year.

The 43-year-old has won three times during the European Tour and once during the Asian Tour.

In 2016 he was sidelined with a hand injury after an accident with a chainsaw.
