A moment on Friday, Zach Johnson joined the amateur hackers, leaving playing partners Ian Poulter and Matt Kuchar in stitches.

The Masters champion of 2007 was busy on the 13th tee with his pre-shot routine, waving his driver, but he waved a bit too close and cut his ball, bouncing off a tee marker.

"It was a bit of a shock for him and all of us," said Poulter, who did not really see the incident because he received a drink from his bag, but he was happy to hear that it was already on a large scale was posted on the internet.

After the initial shock, the Englishman said that Johnson saw the funny side.

"He withdrew and said," It is OK that you can laugh. "We tried to hold it back, but we had to let it out."

Only Johnson's pride was wounded because he was allowed to turn the ball without penalty because he had not intended to move it.

"That was a First I thought I had done it all, but now I know I have it," said the 43-year-old, who added that Kuchar would not let him forget the blunder.

"I hit a really good one after that, a tee shot," said Johnson, moving the hole to Birdie on the way to a one-over-73 who left him three for the tournament.
