McIlroy became second in Atlanta while Koepka leads the way

Rory McIlroy, together with partner Xander Schauffele, shot a second-class 68Tour Championship third-round leaderboard (US unless otherwise stated) -15 B Koepka; -14 R McIlroy (NI), X Schauffele; 11 P Casey (Eng), J Thomas; -6 H Matsuyama (Jpn), J Rahm (Spa), C Reavie. Selected others: -4 A Scott (Aus); -3 P. Reed; -1 T Fleetwood (Eng); +1 J Rose (Eng); +7 D Johnson.

Rory McIlroy is one shot behind Brooks Koepka, number one in the final round of the Tour Championship.

McIlroy is in second place next to Xander Schauffele after placing a two-under 68 after Koepka claimed the latter to claim the lead.

The game was resumed after two lightning strikes took place in Atlanta on Saturday, injuring six spectators.

The Northern Irishman kicks off with Koepka in the final round at 7:10 PM.

Paul Casey from England is in shared fourth place with 11-under with Justin Thomas, four out of pace, and still fighting to claim the $ 15 million (£ 12.2 million) offered for winning both the tournament and the FedEx Cup of the season.

There is then a gap with five shots back to the trio of the Japanese Hideki Matsuyama, Jon Rahm of Spain and the American Chez Reavie, but it is very unlikely that any of them will argue.

Tommy Fleetwood is back at one-under after a one-over 71, two free from Justin Rose who also shot 71.
