Tommy Fleetwood from England took a second consecutive three-under 69 to share fourth place at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa.

South African Zander Lombard leads the Sun City event by two, while defending champion Lee Westwood dropped to 16th.

Fleetwood, 10th in the race to Dubai, is six under, five shots behind.

Race leader Bernd Wiesberger is fourth among Matt Fitzpatrick, sixth on the list, to be decided during next week's Tour Championship in Dubai.

As in Thursday's opening round, Westwood produced an extraordinary escape, this time from the rough under the limbs of a tree to within four inches of the hole to set up a birdie, but he also took three bogeys and one double in a 73.

World number 234 Lombard, 24, was linked to Westwood in the Gary Player Country Club and another former world number one, Ernie Els, who had two triple bogeys in an 81

Lombard started the week in 76th place in the Race to Dubai, with only the top 50 players qualifying for the final of next week, but he drilled an eagle's well from the edge grass on the 10th.

If he can win the first prize of $ 2.5 million for his first win in the European Tour, Lombard jumps to 13th place in the rankings.

Compatriot Louis Oosthuizen, who led through three at night, is second after three birdies and three bogeys in a 72 as he looks for his first title since last December's six-fold win at the South African Open .
