Rory McIlroy believes this year's Ryder Cup will be postponed to 2021.
The Northern Irishman is one of the players who previously called for the biennial Europe-US event this year is not played if spectators cannot be present.
Whistling Straits in Wisconsin hosts the event September 25-27.
"My personal suspicion is that I don't see how it's going to happen, so I don't think it's going to happen," the world's number one told BBC Sport NI.
"I think the majority of players would like to see it printed back to 2021 so they can play for the audience and have the atmosphere that makes the Ryder Cup so special.
" It's the players who make the Ryder Cup. If they are not there and do not want to play, there is no Ryder Cup.
"I see it is being pushed back to 2021 and frankly I think this is the right decision."
Europe has won seven of the past nine Ryder Cups, including the last event in France in 2018.

No worries about traveling to Europe
McIlroy previously joined Americans Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler and Matthew Wolff in a charity skin game in Florida earlier this month, which was played without spectators.
Competitive golf around the world has been suspended since March 12 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but the PGA Tour will resume June 11, behind closed doors, at the Charles Schwab Colonial event in Texas.

The delayed 2020 Irish Open would take place this week at Mount Juliet Estate, with a possible rescheduled date in the fall.
McIlroy, who did not play at last year's event in Lahinch, said he is unsure if he will participate in this year's tournament if it continues.
