Soderberg wins European Masters in play-off

Sebastian Soderberg from Sweden held on to his first European Tour title in a dramatic five-fold play-off with the European Masters in Switzerland.
Soderberg, 28, finished in 14th place, along with Rory McIlroy, Lorenzo Gagli, Kalle Samooja and overnight leader Andres Romero after the final round of Sunday in Crans-sur-Sierre.
The Swede then played the first game-off hole to win the red jacket.
Tommy Fleetwood from England finished 12 under a tie for the eighth.
World number two McIlroy – who won the Tour Championship to win a £ 12.2m prize in the US last Sunday – registered five birdies in the last seven holes for a final round score of 67 to get back in fight to race.
