Thorbjorn Olesen remains suspended by European Tour until court case over

Thorbjorn Olesen is five-time European Tour winner

Danish golfer Thorbjorn Olesen remains suspended until the European Tour until his trial is ended.

The 29-year-old Ryder Cup winner made his second appearance in court on Wednesday, accused of sexual violence and getting drunk on an airplane.

Olesen, from Chelsea, South West London, has also been accused of beating assault.

He was arrested after returning from the WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational on a flight from Nashville to London on July 29.

Olesen, who has been granted unconditional bail, did not make any plea during a brief hearing on Wednesday at Isleworth Crown Court.

A plea is made on December 13, with a provisional trial date set on May 11, 2020.

He has previously indicated that he would not plead guilty when he first appeared before the Court of Justice Uxbridge on August 21.

"Thorbjorn Olesen remains suspended for the European Tour while the case goes on," said a Tour spokesperson.
