Tiger Woods is making its first PGA Tour starts since February at next week's Memorial Tournament.

The 15-time big winner withdrew from the Players Championship in March with a back injury before the corona virus stopped.

] Professional men's golf in the US has resumed behind closed doors and Woods will resume its Ohio season from July 16-19.

"I missed going out and competing with the boys," said Woods, 44.

"I can't wait to go again going out. "

Woods, who has won the Memorial Tournament five times, finished 68th in his last PGA Tour appearance at the Genesis Open in February.

He last played publicly in a charity match in which he and Peyton Manning defeated Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady in an event that raised $ 20 million (£ 16.4 million) for coronavirus relief in the United States.

Woods wants to defend the Masters title he won for the fifth time in 2019 when the rescheduled tournament takes place November 12-15 in Augusta National.

The USPGA Championship recast is now the first major of the year in San Francisco from August 6-9 and the US Open is played at Winged Foot in New York State from 17-20 September, while the Open Championship has been canceled.
