Ryan Ruffels gets another # AussieOfTheWeek title.
While the golf world watched as Tiger Woods won his fifth green jacket at The Masters, Victorian products Ryan Ruffels and James Marchesani ended the week with solid performances in Buenos Aires and China.
Ruffels, 20, produced four sub-parrots in Argentina, but was temptingly short for his maiden victory on the PGA Latinoamerica Tour lost to Andres Echavarria on the second play-off hole. With a few performances of second place from the opening of the season two events, he finds himself third on the Order of Merit.
Meanwhile, Marchesani finished fifth in Haikou with great rounds of 69-70-70-72 to reach 10th place on the China Order of Merit.
After sharing the middle ground at The Masters, Jason Day and Adam Scott were in first place during the weekend. But Australia will have to wait another year for a chance to win a second green jacket while the pair dropped out in round three for T5 and T18 finishes respectively.
