Andrew "Beef" Johnston is honored for his fun nature and interaction with fans.

Much beloved golf personality Andrew & # 39; Beef & # 39; Johnston will release his first ISPS HANDA Vic Open car and then return to Lake Karrinyup Country Club for the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth in February.

The 2019 ISPS HANDA Vic Open will be his first on the 13th Beach Golf Links on the Bellarine Peninsula, where he will play it against some of the world's best on the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour or Australia and the European Tour

The Englishman, who will challenge the field a second time on the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth, returns to Australia, only a few months after a strong finish in the Australian PGA Championship in December to compete in back-to-back tournaments.

"It's great to come back to Australia so soon," Johnston said.

"The ISPS HANDA Vic Open will be a new one for me, but I am very happy that I can be in Perth again.

"Looking at the fields for both events, with guys like Geoff Ogilvy and the like, I will have to bring my A-game."

Missing the cut in Perth last year added extra motivation for the Englishman who wants to experience the unique ISPS HADNA World Super 6 format for himself.

"I thought it was fun to play at the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 last year, but I was disappointed that I had not seen the cutback, the weekend is where that size is different and I want to experience it this year," he said. .

"I can not wait to play in the Vic Open with the women for the first time – that is also a truly innovative concept that I look forward to experiencing."

After having participated most recently in the HSBC Golf Championship in Abu Dhabi, "Beef" hopes back-to-back events at the ISPS HANDA Vic Open and ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth will start its 2019 season.

"I have a little practice to do, but a few weeks in Australia will hopefully get my year in motion, hopefully I can get into the groove and bring out some of my best golf."

Known as a colorful character of the golf world, Johnston remains a favorite with fans in Australia.

"The exciting wave style of beef and the way he handles human masses has quickly earned him a follower in Australia," said Gavin Kirkman, CEO of the PGA of Australia, owner of the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia.

"The ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth is all about changing things and having a little fun and the Beef game fits so well.

"He will taste a little bit of golf in Australia when he is here in February and we are pleased to be joining the line-up for the ISPS HANDA Vic Open for the first time.

"We are grateful that he continues to Australia year after year to play in our events."

The fields ISPS HANDA Vic Open and ISPS HANDA World Super 6 will include a number of world class players in 2019, including Johnston, former US Open champion and triple world champion GolfGolf Geoff Ogilvy, as well as the Japanese superstar Ryo Ishikawa for the ISPS HANDA Vic Open and World Cup -winning Belgian Thomas Pieters for the ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth.

"We are excited to welcome a range of top players in both events and we are confident that the level of competition will increase again in 2019," said Kirkman.
