Sam Horsfield introduced himself into battle a second win of the six-week UK Swing, when a lap of 64 took him to the lead at the Celtic Classic.

The 23-year-old won his first European Tour title at the Forest of Arden in the Hero Open earlier this month.

Horsfield is one battle ahead of the night's leader, Thomas Pieters, halfway at the Celtic Manor.

Pieters' round of 68 gave him a lead over Thomas Detry and Callum Shinkwin and Andrew Johnston of England.

Wales still has some interest in the tournament, with Rhys Enoch four shots off the lead in a ninth share.

French Alex Levy and Romain Wattel are out of the event after the first one tested positive for coronavirus.

Levy, 30, initially returned a negative test, but a retest came back positive.

Wattel and Levy & # 39; s caddy, Tom Ayling, have tested negative so far, but all three men isolate themselves.

News of Levy & # 39; s positive test saw additional steps taken at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, which will also host the Wales Open next week.

The player lounge was closed on Thursday. The on-site hotel also closed bars and restaurants for a thorough cleaning.
