Lexi Thompson won the LPGA season-ending CME Group Tour Championship to erase memories of last year's loss.

The American, 23, fired a two-sub-par 70 to defeat compatriot Nelly Korda with four batters in Naples, Florida.

Thompson missed one blow in 2017 against the number one of Thailand Ariya Jutanugarn, who converted the fifth place for the $ 1m season points prize.

Charley Hull from England, on the track where she won her first LPGA title in 2016, hit a 73 and finished 15th.
