Tom Lewis of England has a part of the lead in day two of the Turkish Open, with defending champion Justin Rose two shots back.

Lewis, 28, played a seven-under par-65 on Thursday to lead with one blow alongside Matthias Schwab of Austria.

Alex Noren from Sweden, Thomas Pieters from Belgium and the American David Lipsky are in third place at six during the European Tour event in Antalya.

"I had a lot of fun, the course suits me," said Lewis, who made eight birdies.

World number eight Rose, who goes after victories in 2017 and 2018 for a hat-trick of victories in the tournament, ended up with three consecutive birdies to sit under five.

"I made the last three holes to make an OK day a good day," Rose told the European Tour. "The hot finish puts me in a great place to build in tomorrow."

Countryman Danny Willett and Scott Jamieson from Scotland also placed rounds of 67.

English trio Matthew Southgate, Tyrrell Hatton and Aaron Rai is another blow back, alongside the Richie Ramsay of Scotland.
