Brooke Henderson equaled the record for most wins on the LPGA or PGA Tours by a Canadian golfer after she had retained her title at the Lotte championship.

Henderson, 21, scored a two-under-par 70 to end at 16 under, four shots away from Ji Eun-hee in Hawaii.

Her eighth LPGA Tour win corresponded to Sandra Post, while Mike Weir and George Knudson each had eight PGA Tour wins.

"It is great to be named the same with Sandra, and to bind Mike Weir," Henderson said.

"It has been so surreal for the last couple of years I am so happy."

Henderson won her first LPGA Tour title at the 2015 Portland Classic as a qualifying competition while her only major title came at the 2016 Women & # 39; s PGA Championship.

She entered the final round for the lead with Nelly Korda but the American produced a five-against-par 77 in her final round to final h eighth.
