New South Wales and Queensland have put themselves in the closet to reach the next # IntSeries final for women tomorrow.
Only one match separates the Blues and Maroons in the rankings with a round of prior matches to play at Royal Hobart.
After losing Victoria in a round one of upset, NSW has since had three straight wins, including sweeping Tasmania this afternoon.
Blues Grace Kim, Doey Choi and Steph Kyriacou have today won two victories for their state, keys in a 3-2 win over the Maroons in the morning.
Queensland managed to escape the ladder after lunch, the maroons racing to three game wins for the week with a 4-1 score against Western Australia.
Dee Dee Russell notched Wednesday on WA & Yeah-Jin Lee and Amy Chu of NSW and says that the women from the Sunshine State are happy to have their destiny in their own hands
"I feel especially good for the team. We're in a good position tomorrow," Russell said.
"We have SA & # 39; in the morning and they have clearly shown that this week is going well, so we look forward to competing against them tomorrow and doing our best for it."
There are no substantial changes to the competition plan for the Queensland women, who have demanded 14.5 out of a possible 20 points so far.
"I think what Virg (coach Virginia Irwin) and Jess (manager Jess Jenkins) has continued with us every night, we stick to exactly the same plan," Russell said.
"If we do that, everything will be fine."
Victoria appears as the team is most likely to squeeze into the decision maker.
A morning tie with WA and an exciting 3-2 win over South Australia on Wednesday afternoon kept the Vics within reach of the leading couple.
Victoria GC member Kono Matsumoto kept her team in the race by going up and down in the final hole for a 1-up win over Sophie Hilditch.
The Victorians have to eliminate host Tasmania tomorrow and hope that Queensland loses to SA and / or NSW loses to WA if they finish in second place to reach the final.
South Australia is the only other team able to reach the final, but would need a big win over Queensland and other results to go its own way.
