Justin Rose: Farmers Insurance Open victory for world number one

World number one Justin Rose has the challenge of the Australian Adam Scott to win the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego, 21 under.

Rose, 38, was the leading leader and scored a round of 69 to defeat Scott with two shots.

Jason Day moved on the leaderboard to challenge early with a round of 67 but Rose recovered and won the victory

Rory McIlroy ended seven shots of the lead in a draw for the fifth place while Tiger Woods was four further back.

Spaniard Jon Rahm dropped out after a round of 72.

Rose had a six-shot lead on Saturday but shot in the last few holes.

After three bogeys in the first nine on Sunday, his rivals hoped for more slip-ups but Rose instead took photos at the 10th, 16th and 18th place to take the title.
