Victorian Su Oh, Sarah Kemp from New South Wales and Perth Minjee Lee all made a strong start today in the Canadian Open of the LPGA Tour.
Oh, whose influence and consistency by the day he grows, shot a four-under par 68 with five birdies and a bogey to lead the Australians in a 11th draw.
She is three shots from the lead held by American Annie Park at 65 after the opening round at Magna Golf Club in Ontario.
Oh, 23, is in the top 30 of the LPGA Tour this year with two top 10 finishes and $ US350,000 in prize money.
Defending champion Brooke Henderson is also in the mix after an opening 66 together with world number 1 Jin Young Ko.
Lee and Kemp are on three-under, bound for 16th, while fellow Australians Katherine Kirk and Hannah Green are on-under and Robyn Choi, who is pre-qualified, shot a starting 78.
