Promising signs of equality roadshow

Female senior manager Chyloe Kurdas from Golf Australia has completed an extensive 12-month series of roadshow presentations at golf clubs with overwhelmingly positive gender equality results in clubs.

Kurdas, who presented in every state as part of GA's Vision 2025 participation program for women, said the feedback from surveys was "overwhelmingly positive, even more than I thought they would be."

But she warned that the process was lengthy and added that "it is a seven-year project with a reason".

Kurdas pointed out that barely 20 percent of Australian golfers are female. "You can't turn 60,000 years of gender inequality into a sexy two-year strategy and put it on paper," she said.
