Adam Scott lost an opportunity today for a groundbreaking victory at the Genesis Open at Riviera, but his upward curve continues.
Scott moved to the shared seventh position behind American JB Holmes today despite playing in the last group.
In difficult circumstances the Australian finished with a five-against-par 76 with six bogeys in his last 11 holes.
"You just have to take care of everything and, you know, the last 10, 11 holes, I drove poorly and I took badly, it's easy to make photo's and I did that & # 39; & # 39 , said Scott.
Scott was eventually overtaken as the leading Australian by Marc Leishman, who rattled around in a final round 68 that left him fourth behind
Leishman is supporting the World Golf Championship event in Mexico City this week.
