VIEW: Southern Stars hit the range
This week was another practice session of some of the biggest names of the Australian cricket, with some of the Southern Stars replacing their cricket bats with golf clubs for a special clinic in the Driving Range of Albert Park.
Prior to their last ODI of the season against New Zealand on Sunday, captain Meg Lanning, wicket-keeper Alyssa Healy and batters Elyse Villani and Rachael Haynes made their way to Albert Park to test their talents that hit a different kind of white ball.
Albert Park professional and 1999 Australian Masters champion Craig Spence was ready to give basic advice and coach the cricketers about the similarities and differences between a cricket and a golf swing.
We loved to have the Southern Stars at Albert Park – and hopefully they will find time to reach the golf course during this year's Ashes tour!
