Collyer & # 039; s amazing debut

Blake Collyer shot a 61 to take the lead on his pro debut.

Blake Collyer has made his debut as a professional memorable to say the least.

The triple member of the winning teams of the Interstate series with Victoria pre-qualified for the Victorian PGA at RACV Cape Schanck and today shot an astonishing 61 in the second round to seize the outright lead.

Seven back-nine birdies helped him get a total of nine under and with an overall score of ten under, he leads the tournament with three shots of Taylor McDonald and Andrew Dodt.

"I didn't think about my score at all. I didn't know what I was all day. I hit it very well and then I started the putter," Collyer said.

"At the front nine I was over the first three or four and my caddy and I just said," stay patient ". It all came together on the back nine.

"I asked for an invitation, but I didn't get one. I had to take advantage of the pre-qualification opportunity. I kept my head down and I'm really determined," he said.
