Five Australians including LPGA Tour rookie Hannah Green have reached the closing season in Florida.
Perth's Minjee Lee is ranked No. 2 of the race to the CME Globe rankings for the final event of the year, with a strong chance to win the $ US 1 million bonus.
With a points reset, Lee is one of the top five players who are guaranteed to win the bonus pool if they win the Tour Championship, which will be held this week at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida.
Currently she is second behind the Thai Ariya Jutanugarn after a season in which she has won a victory and an amazing 13 top 10 finishes.
The other Australians in the touring championship are Sarah Jane Smith, Su Oh, Katherine Kirk and Green, the 21-year-old from Perth who sewn her place with a shared fifteenth in the Blue Bay event in China during the weekend.
It is a huge effort from Green, who has had two top 10 finishes and has earned $ US236,000 in prize money in her first year on the tour. She is in 71st place in the rankings, just in the top 72 who gets a start in the touring championship, worth $ US2.5 million.
Green is also among the top 80 players on the money list who are guaranteed full playing rights for 2019.
