Tiger almost confirms that he will play Pres Cup
Tiger Woods has given the biggest indication ever that he will be captain during the December Presidential Cup in Royal Melbourne.
In a blog post that was published on Tuesday at the Presidential Cup website. Woods indicated that he wants to fully qualify for the American team to get the & # 39; tricky & # 39; decision to use one of his four choices for himself.
The Masters champion of 2019 then signed off with the writing of & # 39; Tiger Woods, US Team Captain Playing Captain & # 39 ;.
Tiger Woods & # 39; signs his Presidents Cup blog post with a cryptic message for fans.
"With the win, I became ninth in the last American team stand for the President Cup," writes Woods.
"Although I already have an important role as a team captain, I have made it very clear that I also want to be a leader when we face the international team under the leadership of Ernie Els.
"I automatically qualify because one of the top eight players would prevent me from ending up in a tricky place as my captain's assistants and I sit down to decide on our four choices."
The 43-year-old also touches on the strategic announcement of captain's assistants Fred Couples, Steve Stricker and Zach Johnson, which he made earlier this year
"With Freddie and Stricks on board in case I make the team and have to play, things will be a lot easier for me," Woods writes.
"These guys led our teams to victories before Freddie won in 2011 in Royal Melbourne."
The 2019 Presidential Cup returns for the third time from 9 to 15 December to Royal Melbourne.
